So, just a little time ago, on 26th of November 2015 a sweet dreamy girl named Alice had her 150th birthday. How is it possible for a girl to be 150 years old? Well in Wonderland “very few things are indeed impossible”.
It was exactly on this day, when more than one and a half century ago the first edition of the book by Lewis Carroll was published. To celebrate this memorable date the world had a great tea party of course, with the largest and longest one being set in England. From small homespun to enormous more formal ones, Alice-themed tea parties were held with all the trimmings all over the UK. How do we know?
The birthday-girl herself sent us a post-card (how classy of her to use the time-honored service of post office!), where she is cheering to her grand anniversary with a good old cup of tea! In fact you can see it for yourself on Machine Embroidery Design Alice.

Inspired by the noble gesture, we created the whole line of decorative embroideries honoring Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. All of them could be used to re-create elegant and slightly “bonkers” tea parties of the story or to spruce up special occasions of your own choice. One of the most iconic images of Alice’s, where the girl sets a marvelous example of how to be a lady, with her pinkie being “aristocratic and all”, this embroidery design could become a wonderful decorative project for a nursery of a little girl. Coming from Disney’s interpretation of the Carroll’s work,
Alice has a charmingly sweet disposition, characteristic of the famous cartoon character. Looking like an adorable girlie doll, Alice will quickly become your princess’ favorite! This embroidery motive could be put on throw pillows, wall accents or even on curtains of the room. She will be a good sport for tea parties with teddy bears and other toys. With various sizes available, the motive will look good both little girl’s tiny clothes and larger textile items.
As an embellishment of a table linen set, Machine Embroidery Design Alice, accompanied by Cheshire cat and White Rabbit (designs of which are available on our catalogues) could become a stunning addition to themed birthday or any other kinds of parties both for kids and adults, worthy of being enveloped in a whimsical charm of Carroll’s fairy tale.
