First, imagine that a sweatshirt is a white canvas, or an untouched canvas cloth. Think about how to place embroidery, what colors to take, and choose the right embroidery technology. Only then, start to create with a butterfly border embroidery design. Moreover, in order to simplify the process of embroidery, consider about all steps.
Preparing the item
Wash and dry the sweatshirt before embroidering.
Stabilizer
For placing butterfly border embroidery design on sweatshirts, you need to think about the correct stabilization. It will help prevent stitching, tightening of the fabric or excessive thread tension. We recommend using a medium-weight cut-away stabilizer.
Since it is a subject of daily using, it means that it often undergoes washing. That is why we do not recommend using a tear-away stabilizer. Due to the fact that it are not able to maintain embroidery for a long time.
Note that there are times when the cut-away stabilizer irritates the skin. In this case, we recommend you to wash the product one-two times before the toe so that it becomes softer, or use a protective cloth on top – Cloud Cover Stitch.
Positioning of design
To place the embroidery on a sweatshirt correctly and appropriately, use a printed design template and marking items (tailor soap, chalk or erased marker).
Using a paper template, determine the most suitable place for embroidery. Often, such embroidery is located on the back, or in front of the chest. Tattoo Butterfly Machine embroidery pattern is no exception.
Then transfer the marks of the center of the embroidery and the line of the axes direction. You will need them to smoothly flatten the fabric and place the hoop in the embroidery machine correctly (the needle should be above the embroidery center you marked).
Hooping
This stage of embroidery is no less important. For embroidery to work out successfully, hoop the fabric together with the stabilizer. To do this, turn out the sweatshirt. Spray the glue of a temporary fixation onto the stabilizer and attach the fabric on top.
Turn out the sweatshirt on the front side. Hoop it. It is important that the marks on the embroidery frame coincide with the marks on the fabric. Otherwise, the embroidery will move to one or another side.
So that the rest of the fabric of the hoodie does not interfere and does not hit the needle during embroidery, roll and clip it.
Embroidery
Embroider on sweatshirts using a pointed needle 75 75 or 75 75/11.
In addition, Tattoo Butterfly Machine embroidery pattern is great for embroidery on T-shirts, denim and cotton jackets, blouses and outerwear.
Please note that the embroidery technology of this butterfly border embroidery design on other items of the wardrobe will be different from the process described above. That is why this instruction can be used only for embroidery on a sweatshirt.
