Rule one. Almost all types of velvet, even synthetic ones, leave impressed marks from the hoops. In this case, there are two solutions of the problem. The first is to hoop the stabilizer and glue the fabric with the glue of temporary fixation from above. The second is to wrap the embroidery frame with a soft material. It is advisable to use the first method.

Rule two. Use both types of stabilizer. Lower – medium-weight stabilizer and upper – water soluble. The cut-away stabilizer will help to prevent the embroidery from puckering and wrinkling of the fabric. Water-soluble, in turn, is designed to prevent skipping stitches and “drowning” embroidery in the pile of fabric.

The third rule. Use the designs of medium density. Since light patterns, such as Redwork, “get lost” in the fabric, and dense will create the effect of “bulletproof vest.”
