Despite the fact that this fabric is a variety of silk, you may not worry about the marks from the hoops. We know that silk cannot be hooped, but shantung is not afraid of it.

Needle # 75/11 copes with its task better than usual embroidery needle. It makes holes less, which is very important in this situation.
