Needle:
Use a 75/11 embroidery needle (recommended brands: Schmetz or Organ). This size works best with cotton fabric.
Stabilizer:
It is recommended to use Floriani Medium Tearaway or Sulky Tear-Easy stabilizer. This stabilizer provides the necessary support and can be easily removed after the embroidery is complete. Cut the stabilizer to fit the hoop size.
Temporary Spray Adhesive:
Use 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray. Spray the adhesive onto the stabilizer from a distance of about 20 cm. Allow the spray to settle briefly, then attach the fabric to the stabilizer. This will prevent any shifting of the fabric during embroidery.
Hooping:
Place both the fabric and stabilizer into the hoop. Make sure the fabric is evenly taut, without overstretching, to avoid any distortion. Ensure that there are no folds or slack. For added security, you can use a basting stitch around the design area to keep the fabric securely in place.
By following these steps, you will achieve a clean and precise embroidery on cotton fabric.
