What Is Included in the Christmas Bunny Set?

The first design shows a fir branch with four carrot ornaments suspended at different heights. Each carrot is finished with a red bow, creating the rhythm of a small Christmas garland. The second design shows a seated grey bunny holding a carrot with green leaves and a red bow. Fine dark outlines preserve the hand-drawn storybook character of both motifs.

The designs coordinate as a pair but stitch separately. Place the bunny on one napkin and the carrot branch on another, or position the motifs at opposite ends of a table runner. This is not one multi-position file: each motif requires its own hooping.

The color squares are approximate screen references. Use the Madeira number when selecting or ordering thread. Do not automatically merge repeated color blocks: returning to the same shade may be required to preserve the programmed overlap and outline sequence.

Where to Use the Bunny and Carrot Embroidery Designs

  • on a coordinated pair of dinner napkins or kitchen towels;
  • at opposite ends of a linen table runner;
  • on a decorative pillow or framed textile panel;
  • on reusable gift bags and fabric wrapping;
  • on a child's apron, sweatshirt or hoodie;
  • on a fabric basket liner for Christmas treats;
  • on festive placemats and seasonal kitchen linens.

For a coordinated table setting, print the templates at 100% scale and test the direction of both motifs on the folded napkins. The bunny should face into the arrangement, and the lowest carrots should stay clear of hems, drawn-thread borders and lace seams.

Stabilizer, Needle and Test Stitching

Material Stabilization Practical setup
Firm cotton or linen Medium-weight tear-away stabilizer underneath Hoop the fabric and stabilizer together without stretching
Loose weave or knit fabric Fusible or regular cut-away stabilizer Support the complete motif, particularly the bunny's legs and outlines
Terry cloth, fleece or velvet Main stabilizer underneath and water-soluble topping above The topping keeps fine outlines and small stitches above the pile

For smooth woven fabric, begin with a 75/11 embroidery needle and 40-weight thread. Test an 80/12 needle on dense or layered material. A speed of approximately 600–700 stitches per minute can help maintain registration between fills, fine outlines, bows and carrot leaves. Stitch the complete file on a matching fabric and stabilizer before embroidering the finished item.

Remove tear-away stabilizer in small sections while supporting the embroidery. Trim cut-away stabilizer with a soft margin and avoid cutting tie stitches. Press from the wrong side over a folded towel. See the complete guide to washing, drying and ironing embroidered items.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do both designs fit a 100x100 mm embroidery field?

Yes, but only in the first size. The files use almost the full field height, so your machine must support a true 100x100 mm working area. Trace the design boundary before stitching.

Can the entire set be embroidered in a 100x170 mm field?

Not in every size. The first three sizes of both designs and the fourth bunny fit this field. The fourth fir branch is wider than 100 mm, so a field of at least 130x180 mm is required for the complete fourth-size pair.

Are the bunny and fir branch combined in one file?

No. They are 2 independent designs that can be stitched separately. The four carrots, bows and fir branch within the first design form one complete composition.

Can these files be stitched as separate FSL ornaments?

No. Both designs are intended for fabric and are not freestanding lace or ITH ornaments. Water-soluble film may be used as a topping on high-pile materials, not as the only foundation.

Which stabilizer should I use for a sweatshirt?

Use cut-away stabilizer suitable for the knit's weight and do not stretch the garment in the hoop. Add water-soluble topping if the surface is soft or brushed.
