Vintage Floral Scroll Border and Corners is a coordinated machine embroidery set containing three decorative motifs: one long horizontal floral border and two matching corner compositions. Every design is supplied in four exact sizes.
The layered pink flowers, soft green foliage and golden scrollwork create an elegant vintage composition for table runners, tablecloths, bed linens, curtain panels, pillow shams, towels and other classic textile projects. The two corners can be used separately or paired with the long border.
The smallest corner files fit a 100x100 mm (4x4") embroidery field. The long border files require large embroidery fields starting from 200x360 mm (8x14.2"). This listing contains digital embroidery files. A finished embroidered item is not included.

For the first test, choose a stabilizer weighing approximately one-third of the fabric weight. Use the next firmer grade for the long border, loosely woven linen or fabric that will be washed frequently.
Placement and embroidery tips
- Print a full-size template of the selected file and mark its horizontal centerline, vertical centerline and outer limits on the fabric.
- Align a long border with the fabric grain, a woven stripe or a marked baseline. Checking only the center point is not enough for a 350–466 mm composition.
- Embroider the border before hemming or assembling the textile whenever possible. This gives more room for hooping and accurate placement.
- Use the fuller corner for the visually dominant area and the lighter corner where the composition needs more open space.
- The corner files may be mirrored in the embroidery machine without changing their supplied dimensions.
- Do not assume that the long border is a seamless repeating motif. Arrange printed templates first and leave a deliberate space between repeated files.
- Use the supplied size closest to the finished project instead of enlarging or reducing the design.
Frequently asked questions
How do I position the long border straight across a table runner?
Mark the fabric grain and draw a removable baseline through the center of the embroidery area. Place a full-size printed template over that line and mark both ends of the design, not only its center. Hoop the fabric and stabilizer as one unit without pulling the runner sideways.
Which stabilizer should I use for a long border on linen?
For linen weighing 150–220 g/m², start with a 50–70 g/m² cut-away stabilizer. Loosely woven linen benefits from fusible polymesh against the fabric plus a second light supporting layer. The stabilizer should extend beyond the entire stitched area.
Why does the set include two different corner compositions?
The two corners have different visual weight. They can be placed at opposite ends of a runner, used on coordinating napkins, or repeated on separate pieces without making every item look identical.
Can I mirror the corner designs?
Yes. Mirroring creates left- and right-facing placements while preserving the original stitch density and dimensions. Mirror the supplied file in the machine or embroidery software, but do not resize it.
Are the long border files divided into sections?
No. Each listed border size is a complete single embroidery file and must fit inside the usable field of the selected hoop or commercial frame.
Which designs are better for napkins or smaller towels?
Use one of the compact corner motifs. The 98.0x66.4 mm versions fit a 100x100 mm (4x4") field and leave more space around the embroidery for hems, folds and decorative edging.
How should I embroider the floral details on terry cloth?
Use a firm cut-away stabilizer underneath and a thin water-soluble topping over the pile. The topping keeps small flower and scroll stitches above the loops and is removed after embroidery.
