Cute Baby Monkey Hanging from a Tree Machine Embroidery Design features a playful orange monkey hanging upside down from a leafy branch. Two prepared sizes make the motif suitable for nursery bedding, children’s towels, quilt blocks, pillows, backpacks and fabric storage baskets.
The monkey includes filled facial details, paws, tail, branch and leaves. A smooth, stable fabric helps preserve the eyes, facial expression and clean edges around the body.
This product contains files for a computerized embroidery machine. It is not a finished towel, pillow, blanket, garment, patch or other physical product.

| Fabric | Recommended use | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| Quilting cotton | Quilt blocks, bedding, nursery panels | Smooth surface keeps the face and eyes clear |
| Medium-weight cotton | Pillows, storage baskets, gift bags | Easy to mark, hoop and align |
| Cotton-linen blend | Nursery décor and cushion fronts | Provides natural texture without excessive movement |
| Twill or gabardine | Backpacks and durable accessories | Supports the filled monkey and branch well |
| Low-loop terry cloth | Children’s towels | Add water-soluble topping above the loops |
| Stable sweatshirt fabric | Sweatshirts and casual clothing | Use permanent cutaway support without stretching |
Lightweight jersey can stretch and distort the monkey’s face. Loose linen may allow outlines to move relative to the filled areas. Deep terry, shaggy fleece and long pile can hide the eyes, fingers and small leaf details.
Very thin fabric may remain visibly stiff around the filled monkey. For lightweight garments, embroider the design on a stable woven panel or test the smaller size before using the final item.
The file measuring 104.5x118.2 mm (4.11x4.65 ") does not fit a true 100x100 mm or 4x4 inch embroidery field because both dimensions exceed 100 mm.
Both supplied sizes fit within a nominal 130x180 mm or 5x7 inch field when the machine supports their complete dimensions.
Always compare the exact width and height with the usable embroidery field specified by the machine manufacturer.
Choose smooth toweling or low-loop terry whenever possible. Place structural backing underneath and water-soluble topping above the towel so the facial features and fingers remain above the loops.
Position the monkey above the lower hem or decorative band. Avoid stitching directly over a thick woven border or folded seam.
Embroider the design on a flat cotton panel before assembling the quilt, pillowcase or duvet cover. Mark seam allowances so the branch and leaves remain inside the visible area.
For a quilt block, allow enough unembroidered fabric around the motif for trimming and accurate piecing.
When the fabric weight is unknown, calculate it with:
Fabric g/m² = sample weight in grams × 10,000 ÷ (length in cm × width in cm)
Fabric oz/yd² = sample weight in ounces × 1,296 ÷ (length in inches × width in inches)
As a Royal Present practical starting rule, use structural backing with a combined weight close to:
Required backing weight = fabric weight ÷ 3
Use tear-away on stable woven cotton, cutaway on knit or flexible projects, and topping above terry or fleece. Topping is separate and does not count toward the backing-weight target. Confirm the combination with a complete test stitch.
Begin with a fresh 75/11 embroidery needle on cotton, linen blends and twill. Test an 80/12 needle on dense terry, canvas or a layered backpack panel.
Polyester embroidery thread is practical for washable nursery bedding, towels and children’s accessories. Keep sufficient contrast between the eyes, face, body, branch and background fabric.
Do not enlarge or reduce the supplied files independently. Resizing without professional stitch recalculation can damage density, underlay, pull compensation, facial details and alignment between the fills and outlines.
Royal Present is not responsible for embroidery quality after customer resizing, editing or file conversion.
Two separately prepared sizes are included: 122.1x138.3 mm and 104.5x118.2 mm.
No. The smaller file measures 104.5x118.2 mm, so it exceeds a true 100x100 mm or 4x4 inch field.
Both files fit within a nominal 130x180 mm field when the machine supports their complete dimensions.
Smooth quilting cotton, medium-weight cotton and stable cotton-linen blends provide clear facial details and are easy to hoop accurately.
Yes. Use structural backing underneath and water-soluble topping above low-loop terry so the face and small details remain visible.
Yes. Use permanent cutaway backing and hoop the sweatshirt fabric without stretching it.
The product page permits limited sales of finished items. The embroidery files themselves may not be sold, shared or traded.
No. Independent resizing may damage facial details, stitch density and outline alignment. Use the professional Resize of Design service when another size is required.
Yes. Test the complete selected size on matching fabric with the intended backing, topping, needle and thread before embroidering the final item.
