Gold Key with Filigree Heart is a digital set of two machine embroidery designs. The bow forms a symmetrical openwork heart with scrolling details, while the long shaft ends in a classic key bit.
The small size makes a precise accent for a sachet, gift bag or cushion. The larger key works as the focal point of a textile panel, cover or narrow decorative project. This is a digital download for an embroidery machine, not a finished item.

Placement ideas
This vertical motif suits sachets, gift bags, cushions, textile covers and decorative panels. Print the chosen size at 100% before marking: keep visual breathing room above the heart and below the key bit so the tall silhouette reads as one deliberate element.

Questions and answers
Can I stitch this key on burlap or a jute gift bag?
Yes, but choose tightly woven burlap. On a coarse open weave, the heart openings and fine scrolls will disappear, so this is not the right design for very rough jute. Use a 2.5 oz/yd² (about 85 g/m²) medium cutaway such as Gunold Totally Stable 2085 under the burlap, secure it with Gunold KK100 temporary spray adhesive, and place Sulky Solvy water-soluble topping on the front. Hoop all three layers together. If the holes are large, add a color-matched fabric layer behind the burlap so the backing cannot show through. Do not remove the cutaway after stitching.
How should I stabilize fleece, velour or terry cloth?
Use a 2.5–3 oz/yd² (about 85–102 g/m²) cutaway backing and a lightweight Sulky Solvy topping. The topping keeps the pile from rising through the satin stitches and swallowing the edges of the heart. Hoop backing, fabric and topping together; floating the fleece gives this long vertical design more opportunity to shift. Remove the topping when finished and trim the cutaway from the back, leaving about 1/2" (12.7 mm) around the embroidery.
What is the best setup for linen or stable cotton?
Pre-wash or pre-shrink the fabric exactly as the finished item will be cared for, then press it flat. For fine linen, a fusible mesh cutaway such as Floriani No Show Nylon Mesh Fusible holds the full embroidery area without distorting it during hooping. For loose linen or the larger key, move up to a 2.5 oz/yd² medium cutaway. Mark the printed template's center and vertical axis, and keep the filigree heart away from thick slubs or seams.
Can I embroider it on a knit sweater, T-shirt or sweatshirt?
For thin or stretchy knits, use a mesh cutaway such as Sulky Soft 'n Sheer or Floriani No Show Mesh, attached with Gunold KK100, and hoop the garment and backing without stretching either layer. Start with the small key on a light knit. On a sweater with visible texture, add Sulky Solvy topping so the satin columns remain clear. If the reverse will touch skin, fuse Cloud Cover Stitch over the finished back for comfort; it is a cover, not a substitute for cutaway support.
Can I resize the file for a different hoop?
Please order a professional resize through the design-resize service. Do not scale the file in machine software or on the embroidery machine. If a file is changed independently, the buyer accepts responsibility for the result; the store guarantees only the published or professionally recalculated file.
