Christmas Branch for a Bread Basket Liner is a digital set of five machine embroidery designs. Fir needles, holly, red berries, brown branches and olive-gold twigs form a long horizontal composition.
The photo shows the motif on a linen bread basket liner. It also works on a napkin, towel or narrow textile panel. You are buying files for an embroidery machine, not a finished item.

Where to Use the Branch
The motif is made for a long horizontal area: the front of a bread basket liner, a narrow napkin, a towel edge or a central textile panel. For accurate placement, print the sheet from the archive at 100% and mark the center at the middle berries before hooping.

Questions and Answers
How do I position the branch on a bread basket liner?
Print the sheet from the archive at 100% and test the placement before hooping. The center of the composition is at the middle berry group: mark it on the fabric and align the horizontal axis with the liner edge. This prevents the branch from drifting up or down on a curved basket.
How do I calculate stabilizer support for a narrow linen panel?
Start with fabric weight ÷ 3 for the total backing weight. For example, a 180 g/m² fabric (5.3 oz/yd²) needs about 60 g/m² (1.8 oz/yd²) of support. This is a starting point: select the backing type for the fabric structure and test the berries, fir and holly on the actual material. Temporary adhesive can hold fabric and stabilizer together, but it does not replace backing. See the stabilizer calculation and puckering guide.
How do I embroider a liner that is already sewn?
When the piece cannot be hooped normally, hoop self-adhesive tear-away Madeira Cotton Fix, expose the adhesive area and place the liner on top without stretching it. Run the trace before stitching. The method is explained in the Madeira Cotton Fix guide.
What should I check in a test stitch?
Check that the fine fir tips sit cleanly on the fabric, the berries do not pull the panel, and the holly-leaf outlines stay aligned with the branches. Test on the same fabric and support planned for the finished liner; do not change the file density.
